Staying cool in the desert

Staying cool in the desert. Brake line I had, pumping ice water with an aquarium pump. (Took one hour to make.) Works better than the swamp cooler. And the cooler it is inside, the better the refrigerator works; then I can make more ice.

So What Do You Do for a Living?

I used to wonder what people off the grid, do to make money. Now I know....they may still do the same work, in a quieter, more peaceful environment.

Off the Grid, but Still Beholden to the IRS

Thanks to Microsoft Excel, Turbo Tax, and StraightTalk for internet. Back to living like a pioneer!
By the way, this new wagon helps immensely, hauling wet laundry, 125 feet to the clothesline.

Living Like a Pioneer

So, living Off the Grid has become a bit fashionable. We started living this way 2 1/2 years ago, to stop throwing money away to the landlord. And to the utility companies. That's how it started. It became much more a simple, quiet way of life. Liberating.
